Get Involved!

If you find yourself thinking,
"I'd like to help the PTA, but I just can't make a
big commitment right now. What can I do?"

You can support Homestead PTA with your Time, Talent, or Treasure. The PTA is run by volunteers. You can help as much or as little as you have time. All volunteers are welcome. You can help on ongoing basis with a committee, serving on the executive board and/or working for one of the special events. Opportunities are available for both during the day and in the evening. No matter your interest or schedule - there is something for everyone.

Calling All Dads

Studies show students perform better when mothers and fathers are both involved in the education of their children. Men and women think differently and bring different perspectives and skills to school and PTA activities. School communities and PTAs thrive when both men and women participate. Yet men remain a largely untapped resource. Learn more about the importance of male involvement at National PTA web site.

What YOU Can Do!

PTA EVENTS:
Have some fun and attend the many events hosted by the PTA throughout the school year.

PTA MEETINGS:
Stay informed...attend a PTA Meeting on the first Tuesday of every other month! They are held at 7pm at Homestead School. Babysitting is available. Other sources of information include this PTA website.

MARKET DAY:
Purchase frozen foods from Market Day and a percentage of your order is donated to the school! And, if you happen to have a bit of time on the Thursday that you'll be coming to pick up your order, show up a little early and help us sort and package the orders! We can always use the help! Visit the official Market Day website to browse their selections or place an order. Homestead's Market Day Account Number is 18941.

MEIJER COMMUNITY REWARDS:
If you shop at Meijer, consider enrolling in the Meijer Community Rewards program. It's an easy way to support Homestead School. VOLUNTEER IN THE CLASSROOM
Many classrooms appreciate parent volunteers throughout the year... to run centers, read with students, or help with a special in class activity. Contact your child’s teacher to find out how you can help (even just once or twice!)
